ABOUT FRESH ARTS COALITION: Fresh Arts Coalition is a 501(c)3 non-profit collective of the most original and thought-provoking arts groups in Houston – the distinctive organizations that make the city’s arts scene one of the

most dynamic in the country. Fresh Arts markets the importance of the arts to the public and builds audience participation through collaborative marketing efforts, advocacy, special events and social networking and by acting as an advocate with appropriate government groups, foundations, corporations and individuals in the local community. From dance to theatre, music to film, visual arts to opera, Fresh Arts is your best link to Houston’s most progressive arts organizations.

ABOUT FITZGERALD’S: Fitzgerald’s was built in 1918, and for over half a century it was home to the Dom Polski, a Polish center and dance hall. In 1977, Sarah Fitzgerald took over the property and opened one of Houston’s oldest and best known live music venues, hosting such legendary acts as James Brown, Tina Turner, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Ramones, and R.E.M., among countless others. After a makeover last year crafted through the work of Pegstar and Free Press Houston, Fitz has positioned itself to remain the go-to venue in Houston for live music.
